Sabres move Key Parts

The Buffalo Sabres acquired several new names before their 3 game Western Conference road trip. They were able to pick up the following players: C-Jonathan Toews (from CHI), C-Mike Richards (from PHI), RW-Alexander Radulov (NSH), and RW-Marek Svatos (COL). Here's what the offensive lines currently look like:

J. Hecht---J. Toews---J. Pomminville
C. MacArthur---M. Richards---M. Svatos
D. Stafford---P. Gaustad---P. Kaleta

Injuries: D. Paille (post concussion syndrome)

Sabres are Sizzling!

The Buffalo Sabres have come out flying this year, winning six of their last seven, including 5 in a row. Backup goalie Jocelyn Thibault gave Fleury a rest on Saturday in Montreal, and he came up big in a 2-0 win for the veteran goalie's 38th career shutout. The next game is in Carolina on Wednesday night. Puck drop-7 p.m.

BREAKING NEWS!!!

This just in from downtown Buffalo...Ryan Miller has been traded to Pittsburgh!

The stud netminder for the Sabres has been shipped south for goalie Marc-Andre Fleury and center Erik Christensen.

Christensen was sent down to Rochester following the trade, where it is believed he will center the first line.

Fleury will start in goal Thursday night against Atlanta.

Season Opener

The Buffalo Sabres will kick off their 2007-2008 season at home Friday Night against the New York Islanders. No new off-season acquisitions were made by the Sabres. The line-up is projected to be as follows:

R. Miller is believed to be starting in goal. It'll be interesting to see if the rumors of a trade (possibly to Pittsburgh or Long Island) will affect his game. Puck drop is at 7 pm.
